The master chef hard at work

This week I'm posting lots of pictures of my family. My Pap-pap passed away last week, and left us all with many, many memories. He passed on his love of photography to many of his grandchildren (myself included).

Pap loved to take candid shots of his family - I'll do my best to include shots I've taken that remind me of his style.

Every year on the Sunday before Labor Day, my family cooks a pancake breakfast for approximately 200 - 250 people. This is a shot of my grandfather (who began the tradition by cooking this breakfast for his children while they were fishing in the lake) using his Batter Boss to pour the perfect pancake.

It won't be the same without Pap-pap this year.
